This program is designed for students who intend to apply to the Blue Ridge CTC Physical Therapist Assisting program, but first must meet the required prerequisites.

This program is designed for students who are planning to make application to the Blue Ridge CTC Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. For students who do not continue with PTA , this program provides a pathway as a Medical Assistant.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, an 18% increase in medical assisting occupations is expected for the next 10 years. This two-year degree can help in the preparation of state licensure exams to plan pathways to employment options as a medical assistant, nursing assistant, health information technician, pharmacy technician, etc.
